As the drummer in a cruise ship theatre orchestra you will need a wide range of skills and experience. The basics – excellent time and technique along with a great feel – are of course needed but you will also need very good sight reading skills.

The gig itself will be with an 8-10 piece show orchestra working mainly in the main theatre of the ship. You’ll perform a range of shows including Vegas-style production shows, West End and Broadway shows (Mama Mia, Chicago, Hairspray and Grease have all been featured on various of our clients’ ships recently), visiting artist shows and sometimes swing/jazz sets around the ship in various lounges other than the theatre.

Experience of playing in a diverse range of musical situations is therefore required. In particular, we’re looking for drummers with big band, theatre and rock/pop experience. Additionally, experience of working with click tracks is preferred.

If this sounds like your kind of gig, and you’d like to audition, simply send us your CV or resume and we’ll get right back to you.
